Lights up the Standing lamp (KUTTU VILAKU) during prayers time is custom practiced as an Indian/Tamil tradition since ancient time. Nowadays, majority people not aware about the number faces to lit up on the Standing lamp and its benefits.

In Standing lamp:

LIGHTS UP ONE FACE-
• This is suitable for ancestor’s prayers. (Low benefit)

LIGHTS UP TWO FACES-
• Family unity will increase.
(Medium benefit)

LIGHTS UP THREE FACES
• Progeny will occur.
(Medium benefit)

LIGHTS UP FOUR FACES
• Will attain gains through lands and immovable assets. (High benefit)

LIGHTS UP FIVE FACES
• Will increase the wealth.
(High benefit)

குத்து விளக்கு ஏற்றி வழிபாடு செய்வது நமது இந்தியர்களின் பாரம்பரியமாகும். தற்பொழுது, பலருக்கு குத்து விளக்கில் எத்தனை முகம் ஏற்ற வேண்டும் என்பதும் தெரிவதில்லை, அதன் அர்த்தமும் தெரிவதில்லை.

குத்து விளக்கில் :

ஒருமுகம் திரி – (அதமம்)
ஏற்றி வழிபடுவது மத்திய பலன்
(இறந்தவர்களுக்கு வழிபாடு செய்யும் பொழுது ஏற்றுவது)

இரண்டு முகம் திரி – (மத்திமம்)
ஏற்றி வழிபடுவது குடும்ப ஒற்றுமை பெருகும்.

மூன்று முகம் திரி – (மத்திமம்)
ஏற்றி வழிபடுவது புத்திர பாக்கியத்தை தரும்.

நான்கு முகம் திரி – (உத்தமம்)
ஏற்றி வழிபடுவது பூமி லாபம் ,
மண்மனை வளங்கள் போன்றவற்றை தரும்.

ஜந்து முகம் திரி – (உத்தமம்)
ஏற்றி வழிபடுவது செல்வத்தைப் பெருக்கும்.
